Climbing walls and
traverse walls are a very popular option in many playgrounds
throughout the world. With the many different options and
possibilities available from Fahr Industries you can design
and create your own signature range of walls and make a
design statement within your range.

Thermo-Forming |

Fahr has been
thermo-forming HDPE panels for some time now and if there
was ever a product that would benefit from being curved it
would be a climbing wall.
The thermo-forming
of climbing walls and traverse walls adds an extra dimension
to the product and opens up a whole range of styles and
layout options
for your products.
When combining
curved panels in series and even swapping the direction of
the curves it is possible to create many sweeping and
flowing designs, including the examples (left) which feature
only 2, 3 and 4 panels. |

Profiling |

The profiling
(shaping) of climbing walls can create some really
interesting effects which can transform a standard climbing
wall into a work of art. Profiled climbing walls can also be
curved to add a further dimension to the style of your
products. As always Fahr can manufacture profiled climbing
walls with cut-outs, rock holds
or even both. |

Rock Holds |
 |
The most cost
effective, simplest and durable way to turn a panel into a
climbing or traverse wall is to simply add cut out foot and
hand holds, but with the addition of bolt on rock holds the
depth and visual appeal of the wall will be greatly
enhanced.
The standard rock
holds supplied by Fahr are HDPE because they are extremely
durable and resistant to damage from impact and with two
bolt fixings they are not going to fall off or spin.

However Fahr can
also offer the more traditional composite rock holds and
even cast aluminium rock holds if this is your preferred
option.
All of the options
above can be combined and of course these are just examples
